Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of services provided by Sit.Stay.Sorted (ABN 22 006 195 219), operated by David Goldsbro ("we", "us", "our"), based in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. By engaging our services, you ("the client") agree to these Terms in full.

1. Services Provided

Sit.Stay.Sorted provides the following services:

• House sitting and home management during client absences
• Pet and animal sitting — including feeding, walking, medicating and enrichment
• Cleaning and home organisation services (additional service, priced separately)
• Overnight, multi-day and extended stays
• Local Hobart, regional Tasmania, mainland Australia and international sits

2. Bookings & Minimum Stays

All bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing (email or message). The following minimum stays apply:

• Hobart & Surrounds: Minimum 24 hours (1 overnight stay)
• Regional Tasmania: Minimum 3 nights (4 days). A fuel levy will apply.
• Mainland Australia: Minimum 7 days. A flight/travel levy will apply.
• International: By negotiation. No maximum stay duration applies.

3. Rates & Payment

Current local rates are:

• Minimum 24-hour sit (Hobart local): $70 AUD
• 3-day sit / 2-night stay (Hobart local): $160 AUD
• Interstate and international sits: by negotiation

All rates are in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of GST where applicable. Payment terms will be confirmed at time of booking. Travel levies and fuel surcharges are additional to base rates.

4. Cancellations

Cancellation policies are agreed at time of booking. For cancellations made less than 48 hours before a sit commences, a cancellation fee may apply. International and interstate bookings may have different cancellation terms which will be outlined in your booking agreement.

5. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

• Provide accurate and complete information about their animals, including medical conditions, dietary needs and behavioural traits
• Ensure animals are up to date with vaccinations and flea/tick treatments
• Provide all necessary supplies (food, medication, leads, litter etc.)
• Ensure the property is safe and hazard-free for both the sitter and animals
• Provide emergency veterinary contact details before commencement of sit
• Be reachable during the sit period (or nominate an emergency contact)

6. Animal Welfare & Veterinary Care

The wellbeing of your animals is our highest priority. In the event of a veterinary emergency, we will make every effort to contact you immediately. If you are unreachable, we reserve the right to seek emergency veterinary treatment. All costs associated with veterinary care remain the responsibility of the client.

7. Liability

Sit.Stay.Sorted takes every reasonable precaution to care for your animals and home. However, we cannot be held liable for injury, illness, escape, death, or property damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, unforeseeable events, or circumstances beyond our control. Clients are encouraged to maintain appropriate pet and home insurance.

8. Property Access

Clients grant Sit.Stay.Sorted access to their property solely for the purpose of providing agreed services. We will treat your home and possessions with the utmost respect and discretion at all times.

9. Photography & Media

We may take photographs and videos of animals in our care for the purpose of providing updates to the client. With your permission, we may also use such images for our marketing and social media. You may withdraw consent at any time by notifying us in writing.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Tasmanian courts.

Privacy Policy

Sit.Stay.Sorted (ABN 22 006 195 219) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

11. Information We Collect

When you use our website or enquiry forms, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number and location
• Information about your animals and property
• Travel dates and sit requirements
• Communications between yourself and Sit.Stay.Sorted

12. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to:

• Respond to your enquiry and confirm bookings
• Provide and improve our services
• Contact you at your preferred time
• Maintain records as required by Australian law

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

13. Data Storage & Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure. Data is stored securely and access is limited to authorised persons only.

14. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time. To exercise these rights, please contact us directly.

This website may use cookies and analytics tools to improve user experience. No personally identifiable data is collected through these means without your consent.
